Pyon and TradingView

Choose the workflow that fits how you research and build strategies.

Build a strategy graph rather than a Pine Script.

TradingView provides charting, indicators, and Pine Script strategies that simulate trades in its Strategy Tester. Strategy scripts can also send alerts, including webhook notifications to an external app. Pyon takes a different route: it builds a connected strategy graph on a visual canvas and runs a backtest from that graph.

Pyon's AI builder can draft and revise nodes from a plain-language idea. Its backtest uses historical price aggregates and reports trades, return, drawdown, and other core metrics. Supported broker integrations can route paper or live orders where enabled. Neither product's historical simulation guarantees future results, so review trading costs and execution assumptions before acting.

Frequently asked questions

Can I use both products?

Yes. You can use TradingView for chart analysis and Pyon's visual canvas for a separately constructed strategy. There is no automatic Pine Script import into Pyon.

Does TradingView only support manual trading?

No. TradingView Pine strategies can test simulated trades, and strategy alerts can send webhook notifications to external systems. Pyon offers its own broker-routing workflow with supported integrations.

How should I compare backtests?

Check each platform's data, timeframe, costs, and fill assumptions. Pyon's commission and percentage-slippage settings default to zero unless you configure them.
